There are many ways to attract new clients to your business. Here are five methods I find very effective.
- Identify your niche. To be successful at getting clients, it’s critical to define your niche. You need this information to know who to target, and where to spend your time, energy and effort. Attempting to market to everyone who may want your products and services is too hard.
- Establish yourself as the expert. Clients want to work with experts, so let your expertise shine and attract more clients!
- Spend time on your business development. Schedule it! You will never have time to market if you don’t make the time. During business development hours, shut down your email program and turn off phone.
- Reach out to your network. Let your network know what you are up to and ask for client referrals.
- Follow up. Keep connecting with potential clients who have reached out to you. You may need to reach out to a potential client seven to nine times before they buy. If you stop making the effort to follow up, you may have primed them for your competition.
